BJP is calling for entries to its fourth International Photography Awards – a juried competition with a total prize fund worth more than £13,000 ($25,000/€16,500).

Anyone of any country or any age can enter. We don’t dictate a theme. We just want to see your most compelling work.

The deadline for entries is 25 September 2008.

sittcomm.award is an idea of young professionals in the field of photography, who would like to support artists from Central and Eastern Europe and to promote their work in wider European context.

sittcomm.award is a prize for photographers from Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Kosova, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia (FYROM), Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine who had finished their photographic series in the year 2006 or 2007. The jury will also consider previous artistic record of the photographers.

Magnum Photos Inge Morath Award

Magnum Photos announces the fifth Inge Morath Prize to be awarded to a woman photographer under thirty years of age. The $5000 prize is given to assist in the completion of a long term documentary project.

Inge Morath was an Austrian-born photographer who was associated with Magnum for almost fifty years. She died in January, 2002. As Inge devoted much of her enthusiasm to encouraging women photographers, this award is given as a tribute by her colleagues.

The Deutsche BÃ¶rse Photography Prize

Founded in 1996, the Photography Prize has become one of the most prestigious international arts awards. Previously known as the Citigroup Photography Prize, the Prize is now in its ninth year. From 2005, The Photographersâ€™ Gallery is pleased to be working with a new sponsor with a strong commitment to photography: Deutsche BÃ¶rse Group.

The Prize seeks to acknowledge todayâ€™s leading international photographers and to raise the profile of photography within the visual arts by acting as a focus for debate. The aim of the Prize is also to increase audiences for contemporary photography and explore its role in society.

This year’s nominations are:Philippe Chancel, Anders Petersen, Fiona Tan and The Atlas Group.
